Acne scars
Acne scar removal treatment, that is fast, effective and minimally invasive. text 07757 946023 to book nowYou don’t have to live with acne scars.
When you’re looking to take care of acne scars, it can be daunting. There are so many things on the market, many of which you have probably already tried and found to be ineffective, that it’s often natural to think you have to live with the scarring.
But you don’t.
Our leading EPN pen punches genuine micro needles into your skin with via a combination of techniques. This ensures every area of the spot is covered. As the needle enters below the layer of skin, electroporation creates a pulse which creates temporary pores in your cell membranes. This allows a specialist medical grade serum that we introduce onto your skin, to then be transferred into these cells.
It’s a groundbreaking way for us to stimulate your body’s natural healing response whilst also being able to give it the nutrients it needs internally to support this healing response. It’s an amazing technology and one that we’re really proud to offer.

Questions & Answers
How long does it take?
We’re not talking about a succession of length and painful laser treatments. No, you’ll be in for around half an hour and whilst there is some aftercare that you’ll need to take care of, essentially, you can go and get on with your life right after your treatment.
We use a groundbreaking combination of microneedling and electroporation to damage your tissue, just enough to stimulate your natural wound healing response. This prompts your body into producing enough collagen and elastin which it sends to the site for resurfacing. And it’s this that improves the appearance of acne scars on your skin.
How will I feel after you've treated my acne scars?
People often worry that the microneedling therapy will be so traumatic that they’ll need time afterwards. You won’t. For sure your skin will be a darker colour than normal, the healing response sending blood to the site. And so, you’ll be a deep red, or pink at least.
But this only lasts a few hours. And you don’t feel ill, or tired when we remove acne scars. It’s just like you’re sunburned. That’s how it looks and feels. And so you just treat it as such including us recommending you wear sunscreen after. You don’t need to set up a recovery camp in your spare bedroom!
Is this like a facial?
No, a facial will traditionally clear clogged pores of makeup and other grime. Now as we don’t want any of this travelling through your skin when we use the micro needles, we reduce any risk of infection by thoroughly cleansing all skin types before we start treatment. This part is a little like a facial.
But as we’re looking to improve pock marks rather than removes dead skin cells and prevent clogged pores, we take the treatment further and this is where we use our microneedling and electroportation EPN pen. Once we’ve removed makeup and grime, we can begin treating the area. IT’s the puncturing of your skin that prompts your body to heal wounds. And it’s this process that sends new nutrients to the site. And so, this is so much more than a facial.
Will this get rid of raised scarring?
Acne marks come in all shapes and sizes, as do all general skin conditions. We can work with them all. Whether your skin is raised, depressed, pick scars and so on. We expect that scars are permanent, but with this treatment, you’ll see a noticeable loss of acne scars.
How is this groundbreaking technology?
Other than how we use electroporation along with microneedling as we’ve described above, this system has other benefits, which means there is less pain and you don’t suffer the same issues afterwards as simple microneedling.
Many needles are put into your skin by rolling scars. The motion here and angled needle entry creates more round shaped wounds and can produce scratches along with more irritation and redness. There is also a risk of the needle bending. Using this system and many others on the market is difficult to access small areas like your eyes and lip contours.
It’s also not possible to adapt the needle depth to each treatment zone. Ours pulse nine disposable 33G sterilised needles in and out with precise depth adjustment at breakneck speed. And we have full control over the needle depth, speed and how much electroporation we use too.
This medical grade dermal pen move over your skin to create tiny, evenly spaced puncture wounds on the skin. These small needle clusters penetrate into your skin to break up old collagen strands and stimulate the elastin fibres oriented from the deep layers of the dermis to the skin surface. The result is more evenly toned skin, even for darker skin tones. Dark spots and marks and acne scars and atrophic scars which are often left because of chickenpox. We can improve deep set lines and acne lesions through this regeneration process.

We have some recommended aftercare which you can read about for your comfort before booking, and also, before you book, please read our list of contraindications for your safety. We are completely clinically certified to administer this minimally invasive cosmetic surgery.
How often can I repeat treatments?
Your skin heals fast. You won’t even be able to see or feel that you’ve had the microneedling and electroporation within a few days max.
However, we don’t want to overload your system and as most of the work is going on underneath the surface of your skin in the tissues there; you don’t even see the best results until three weeks after. That’s why we recommend waiting at least four weeks before treatments. We don’t expect you to wait longer than six weeks before your appointments.
Is this a chemical peel?
No. We don’t remove the surface of your skin with ablative lasers or acids; instead we allow the body to heal from the inside out. This is renowned as being the most effective treatment for external scarring.
This means that not only is our treatment gentle at dealing with blemishes because we’re not topically applying lactic acid, hydroxy acids or salicylic acid it also has protected health benefits. We deal with fibrous tissue that causes scarring under the surface and so the irritation you’ll experience on top of your skin will be minimal and natural.
You will end up with less acne scars and smooth skin tone regardless of whether you’re having this to treat mild or severe acne scars. It’s just that if you have deeper scars you may need more sessions, but generally you can expect an average of six.
Does your specialist acne scar treatment help anything else?
It’s common to use this same system on the scalp for hair loss/ alopecia.
We can also treat a skin condition such as tissue paper skin (thin skin) and wrinkles and lines with it.
This specialist forms of microneedling is even suitable to treat darer skin types with lower risk of hyperpigmentation
